Robert M. Maywood, MD is a highly experienced orthopedic surgeon specializing in providing fair, comprehensive orthopedic examinations and clear reporting for the State of California workman's compensation system. Dr. Maywood is dedicated to delivering exceptional care and accurate assessments to his patients. He has worked as an Agreed and Qualified Medical Examiner for over 20 years and is trusted by patients, attorneys, and adjustors to provide clarity in complex medical cases.

His training began at the University of Southern California for his undergraduate career, followed by medical school at the University of California, San Francisco. He then completed an orthopedic residency and chief residency at the University of Miami and a sports medicine fellowship at Harvard University.

Dr. Maywood has cared for injured workers his entire career as well as high level athletes. His sports medicine experience includes associate team physician for the New England Patriots, Boston Bruins and Harvard Athletics. He also was team physician for San Diego State University Rugby. He is a trusted medical provider for many professional athletes who require evaluations at the close of their career.
